Black and Green tea combined into tea heaven!
 
Gunsmoke is a Black Tea, Keemun Concerto Tea, Rose Hips, Cocoa Nibs, Lapsang Souchong Tea, and Blue Cornflowers, hand-blended on a smoky gunpowder tea base.  Gunpowder are the leaves of green tea that are rolled into the shape of little pinhead pellets resembling gunpowder, hence its name. Gunsmoke has a bold smoky flavor with a hint of mint.
 
In China, gunpowder tea is called Green Pearl tea; the tight roll of the leaves helps retain flavor and aroma for much longer than many other greens. A delicate shine on the pellets indicate the tea is quite fresh. Gunpowder tea leaves stay fresh longer than any other green tea leaves due to its compressed form. Gunpowder green is higher in caffeine than most other green teas (35-40 mg/8 oz serving) and is commonly used by athletes to improve endurance over periods of 3-6 hours.
